UCD Professor of Art Shiva Ahmadi uses painting as a form of storytelling, combining luminous colors & mystical beings with violent imagery to draw attention to global issues of migration, war & brutality against marginalized peoples while featuring the female figure. PENCE GALLERY. The watercolor paintings of Misuk Goltz convey a world seen through both her travels and daily life that is full of emotional resonance. The World We Live In largely centers on her vignettes from these travels, alongside rural scenes from our region. In her detailed naturalism, she reveals the shared humanity of her subjects she’s sketched. Free
