PENCE GALLERY. The Pence’s 6-session Healing Arts workshop uses art as a healing language for those experiencing grief from the loss of a loved one. Through the process of art making, participants will have opportunities for discussion, education, & connecting with peers in a safe & supportive space in the Pence Learning Center under the guidance of facilitators Amy Vidra and Lyndsey Rocca. 10a - 11:45a. $25-$35
PENCE GALLERY. Using cradled boards, students will create five collaged pieces that interrelate using artist-made painted & printed papers, additional painting and drawing, & cold wax. This process combines the spontaneity of collage with the interest & beauty of the painted surface. Students will also examine issues around making work in a series & discuss creative ideas for series work. 10a—4p. $360—380

DAVIS ARTS CENTER. Unleash your creativity & explore the endless possibilities of collage art! Students will dive into the crazy collage chaos, learning how to rip, tear, & combine recycled materials to create unique & imaginative designs. THE PENCE GALLERY. Learn the basics of charcoal drawing with Sophie Jorcino! In this one-day workshop, you will learn value shading, texture techniques, & sketching exercises, all while learning to use different charcoal materials that are included with the class fee.
