DAVIS SHAMBHALA MEDITATION CENTER. This June, take four Saturday mornings to ground yourself in a simple yet profound meditation practice rooted in the ancient Tibetan teachings of Shambhala. CAPAY VALLEY LAVENDER FARM. Stroll among blooming lavender rows and take part in lavender distillation demos, wreath-making workshops, and product sampling. Guests can shop handcrafted body products, culinary items, and essential oils—all made with farm-grown lavender. 10a—4p.
GREAT BEAR VINEYARDS. Enjoying a glass of wine with your favorite book in our beautiful gardens is the perfect way to relax solo or with your friends. Snacks and cheeses are available for purchase to complement your glass of wine. 10:30a—12:30p. $15
MANETTI SHREM MUSEUM. Spring into art making with an afternoon in the Carol and Gerry Parker Art Studio, where you can explore activities connected to the museum’s exhibitions. WOODLAND OPERA HOUSE. Something Rotten! is a comedic musical that tells the story of the Bottom brothers, Nick and Nigel, who are playwrights living in Elizabethan England. The plot is set in 1595, when the Bottom brothers are struggling to compete with the wild success of their contemporary, William Shakespeare. Desperate to write a hit play, Nick consults a soothsayer who foretells that the future of theater will be "a musical." This leads the brothers on a hilarious journey as they attempt to create the world's first musical. 2p or 7:30p. $9—35
