Opening Reception Saturday, June 28, 5-8pm
Curator talk by Eliza Gregory at 6pm | Light refreshments and Yolo County wine
Exhibition Dates: June 28, 2025 – August 23, 2025
In 2023 the Yolo Food Bank commissioned Eliza Gregory and seven emerging artists to tell visual stories about food and justice in Yolo County. Six of the Yolo Food Bank’s 84 partner organizations stepped up to host artists to document their work. With permission from all participants and clients, the artists attended and documented events, food distributions and meals. Each partner organization and the Yolo Food Bank received the images to use in their work, and The Barn Gallery is now bringing them all together in a public exhibition for the first time.
The emerging artists are all recent graduates of the Sac State Photo program: Charles Brewer, Seren Fernandez, Bibiana García, Binh Nguyen, Sammantha Reyes, Joseph Roman and Vicky Yoon.
The partner organizations include Yolo County Children’s Alliance, STEAC, Meals on Wheels, Fourth and Hope, the U.C. Davis Food Pantry, and Mercy Coalition.
