MANETTI SHREM MUSEUM. The Oakland-based artist is inspired by familial and global histories, food, music, and mourning. PENCE GALLERY. Barbara Prodaniuk is a ceramic artist whose work is inspired by the forest, meadows, and waterways surrounding the Truckee area. Dance cards (or ball programmes), popular in the 19th and early 20th centuries, were these small, decorated cards, where young men signed up for specific dances with young girls, a gendered practice that ended in the 1940s.
