Suspect description released in Picnic Day Shooting

The Davis Police Department says they’ve determined there was more than one shooter Saturday at Community Park. They’ve released information about one of the suspects. There is a crime stopper reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.

The following is from @davispolicedepartment:

“Davis Police Department continues to diligently investigate the shooting incident that occurred at Community Park on Picnic Day.

Evidence examined from the scene indicates there was more than one shooter involved in the incident.

Detectives have reviewed several witness statements and tips and describe one of the shooters as a Black male adult, between 20-25 years old, under 6 feet tall with an average build. He was seen wearing a black hooded sweater, black pants, and a face mask. The information received also indicated that this incident involved subjects that live outside the Davis community.

Our Investigative Team assigned to the case will continue to use all available resources, including assistance from our partner agencies, to follow up on leads and continue to seek the community’s assistance.
