DAVIS SHAMBHALA MEDITATION CENTER. Learn a simple yet profound meditation practice that is grounded in the ancient Tibetan teachings of Shambhala. JOHN BAROVETTO PARK. Join Tree Davis as we plant trees down the bike path behind John Barovetto Park! We will be digging tree holes, planting trees, and pounding support stakes. PENCE GALLERY. This 2-day workshop is open to artists of all levels who want to create abstract paintings using a mixed media approach. Students will work with base layers, drawings, gel prints and other paper sources. While building layers, participants will add other media including paint, crayons, colored pencil and/or Art Graf. DAVIS MUSICAL THEATRE CO. An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. NASHOBA WINES. The Davis Bookworms is a brand new "silent" book club, in which everyone brings a book of their own choosing, reads for an hour, and then socializes for an hour. We meet every two weeks on Sunday at Nashoba Wines. 1:30p—4p. Free
