VETERANS MEMORIAL THEATRE: A Chorus of the Dead puts the broken Icarus back together, telling him of his boyhood friendship with Tor—who will become the Minotaur in the Labyrinth—and with Theseus, who will kill him. The path to his final fall is far from straightforward & the Chorus tells of the cruelty of the tyrant—Tor’s father and king—& the world that made them. With the Emcee's bawdy songs as wry commentary, Cabaret explores the dark, heady, and tumultuous life of Berlin's natives and expatriates as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich.
