PENCE GALLERY. This group is for both experienced artists and amateurs to have an opportunity to draw from the nude model. If you have never drawn from a live model before and would like to join us, you are very welcome! People of all skill levels, ages 18 and up, are welcome and encouraged to join. CAPAY VALLEY LAVENDER FARM. Stroll among blooming lavender rows and take part in lavender distillation demos, wreath-making workshops, and product sampling. Guests can shop handcrafted body products, culinary items, and essential oils—all made with farm-grown lavender. 10a—4p.
PENCE GALLERY. Rochelle Mason uses her imagination in painting bold, colorful abstracts of beautifully designed animals by applying swirling, flowing brushstrokes and defining intriguing shapes. Mason loosely bases her Focus on Nature: Beyond Eden series on animals considered unpopular and unappreciated with the purpose of helping people transcend “speciesism.” 11:30a—5p. Free
PENCE GALLERY. Slice celebrates the diversity of expression in our region with an array of sculpture, prints, paintings, and photography created by 36 visual artists. Representing a ‘slice’ of work fresh from the studio produced by new and established artists working in the state, this annual juried exhibit has quickly gained a reputation for displaying innovative and thought-provoking work. 11:30a—5p.
