PENCE GALLERY. Celebrate the Pence’s upcoming 50th birthday by making the perfect cake! Using polymer clay, liquid sculpey, and glaze, sculpt your own miniature cake and other delectable desserts. Art in Action engages kids in art projects that are fun, creative, and collaborative with their family members. This is a drop-in program for ages 5-12. 1p—3p. $5—10
THE ARTERY. Under the instruction of artist Kristina Kernytska, learn to work with acrylic painting materials, stages of landscape creation, how to easily create realistic Christmas trees, and other interesting art techniques using a fan brush. In this 6-week workshop, artist Misuk Goltz will guide students on how to create harmonious compositions, value studies of various subjects, and painterly watercolors using a limited palette. FERA HOUSE. Learn how to make your own beautiful home-made paper from recycled materials like bits of yarn, your kid’s old math homework—and flowers from my garden. Using moulds and deckles, we’ll swish, press, and flip our way to gorgeous sheets of paper. 7p—9:30p. $65

The goal of the workshop is to help you move past challenges in your throwing practice while introducing new skills that increase both speed and accuracy at the wheel. 10a—6p. $250
