MANETTI SHREM MUSEUM. The Oakland-based artist is inspired by familial and global histories, food, music, and mourning. The exhibition features a reconfigured clock tower sculpture that alludes to market structures in the Eastern Mediterranean Levant region, and new works in ceramic and bronze that speak to familial and cultural ties across time. MANETTI SHREM MUSEUM. This exhibition is a working digitization laboratory and open storage featuring hundreds of works from the Fine Arts Collection, developed and presented in conjunction with UC Davis students in the Fall 2025 Exhibition Practicum course led by Assistant Professor Alexandra Sofroniew. PENCE GALLERY. Barbara Prodaniuk is a ceramic artist whose work is inspired by the forest, meadows, and waterways surrounding the Truckee area. She explores the stories carried by the creatures and artifacts found in these environments through layered surfaces, organic textures, and sculpted imagery. 11:30a—5p. Free
WOODLAND OPERA HOUSE. Set in 1692 Salem, Massachusetts, The Crucible follows the eruption of mass hysteria in a close-knit town after a group of young girls is discovered dancing in the woods. To avoid punishment, the girls begin accusing townspeople of witchcraft, igniting a wave of fear that fractures the wider community. Written in 1953 by famed American playwright Arthur Miller, the play is in part an allegory for the anti-communist hysteria of the McCarthy era, exploring the dangers of false accusations and the abuse of power. 2p—5p or 7:30p—10:30p. $20—45
THE PAINT CHIP. A collaborative exhibition by husband and wife David Kalb and Nancy Gelbard, exploring how two artists respond to the same moments using lens and brush. David’s street photographs capture spontaneous, unguarded scenes from everyday life. Many of Nancy’s oil paintings are created directly from these photographs. In addition to their shared artistic experience, each artist is also exhibiting individual pieces of their work. Free

PENCE GALLERY. In this 6-week workshop, students will create watercolor paintings inspired by Misuk’s recent travels to Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, Greece, and Turkey.
