This award of $4000 supports the creation of new work by emerging artists in California and the opportunity to share that work through an exhibit and an artist talk in January-February 2027 at the Pence. MANETTI SHREM MUSEUM. The Oakland-based artist is inspired by familial and global histories, food, music, and mourning. The exhibition features a reconfigured clock tower sculpture that alludes to market structures in the Eastern Mediterranean Levant region, and new works in ceramic and bronze that speak to familial and cultural ties across time. MANETTI SHREM MUSEUM. This exhibition is a working digitization laboratory and open storage featuring hundreds of works from the Fine Arts Collection, developed and presented in conjunction with UC Davis students in the Fall 2025 Exhibition Practicum course led by Assistant Professor Alexandra Sofroniew. Free
Local residents throughout the Sacramento region are eligible to file their taxes for free through United Way California Capital Region’s Free Tax Prep program that runs through April 15. The program provides free tax help virtually and in person in multiple languages and locations across Amador, El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, and Yolo counties.

PENCE GALLERY. Barbara Prodaniuk is a ceramic artist whose work is inspired by the forest, meadows, and waterways surrounding the Truckee area. She explores the stories carried by the creatures and artifacts found in these environments through layered surfaces, organic textures, and sculpted imagery. 11:30a—5p. Free
THE PAINT CHIP. Amy McElwain is a collage mixed media artist living in Solano County. She has had creative outlets all of her life and turning the animals who share our planet into colorful, whimsical renderings is her current passion. RICHARD BRUNELLE PERFORMANCE HALL. Rocknasium is excited to host another evening showing of the Banff Mountain Film Festival. The evening will feature showings of multiple award-winning films that explore adventure, environmental issues, and action sports. 6:30p—10p. $24
