City Announces Summer Camp Changes for 2021

The City of Davis Parks and Community Services posted their February 2021 Rec Report on their Facebook page today, and with it some important announcements regarding the summer camp programming:

“Unfortunately, due to ongoing COVID restrictions we are not able to offer Camp Putah or Trekkers again this summer. Not to worry, we still have a great summer planned and ways to celebrate what would have been Camp Putah’s 50th Anniversary!”

“One big change we have is Summer Registration will be held on Tuesday, April 13, at 8:00 a.m. Registration will be only be available online or by phone (as long as a current liability wavier for each family member is on file). We hope this gives families more planning time and eases the financial commitment for advance payment of summer camps. We will be releasing the online Summer Rec Guide in early March, it will be available on our website by clicking on the red Rec Guide tab.”

The City also announced that hiring for summer positions will begin is February (https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/davis). Positions include lifeguards, swim instructors, playground and inclusion leaders and more.
