Zombie Bike Parade 2025 raises nearly $10k for adaptive bikes

By: The Dirt

Each year, the Zombie Bike Parade brings miles of fun and hundreds of costumed friends to town for the Halloweekend. This year, despite the rain, October marked the largest single-year donation for the program yet—raising $9,451 for NorCal Trykers.

Since 2019, the Zombie Bike Parade has now raised nearly $50k to build adaptive tricycles for children with disabilities, according to event organizer Aaron Wedra.

Despite the rain this year, zombie organizers counted more than 400 people on bikes for the event—most of them, in costume!

“We didn’t just host events—we brought the Davis community together in creative and meaningful ways, raised awareness for a host of non-profits, and supported a strong marketing campaign for our sponsors,” Wedra said. “Our work helps keep Davis recognized as a zany platinum-rated bicycling community.”

Those interested in pitching in to help get more neighbors on bicycles that work for them can reach out to NorCal Trykers directly at norcaltrykers.com or use smartzgraphics@yahoo.com to connect with Wedra.

Special thanks to Davis Odd Fellows, The Bike Campaign, the Davis Bike Club, and Hallmark Properties.
