Whole Earth Festival 2026 Call for Art Space Submissions

By: Stass Choi & Julia Holton, WEF Art Space Coordinators

Building off this year’s festival theme of “Solardarity,” this year’s Art Space prompt is “The Woven World.”

How are we intertwined through personal stories and personal histories?

The “Woven World” asks you to explore the thread of intersectionality and how our identities, cultures, and experiences cross over in complex ways. How do individual threads remain distinct yet gain resilience through connection? How can you reflect upon your relationships with people, place, and time in moments that bind or unravel us? Where do tension and support coexist? This year, WEF wants to know what the “Woven World” looks like through your lens.

Answer it with any medium! WEF welcomes painting, sculpture, creative writing, photography, video, fashion and fiber arts, performance, and anything else you can think of!

Note: Art submissions do not have to be directly related to the prompt! It’s a suggestion, but not at all a requirement. 🙂

Our submission form will officially close March 31 at 11:59p. Selected artists will be contacted with set-up and break-down details shortly after.
