Local singer-songwriter, Dave Nachmanoff, lends his talents to Team Davis to create new, original songs and music videos.
Nachmanoff is well-known for his long-time collaboration with Al Stewart (“Year of the Cat”). He has written a dozen albums and performed in shows ranging from living room concerts to the Royal Albert Hall in England.
He has been working with Team Davis singers for the last couple of years to create original music videos that are featured on the Team Davis website and YouTube channel. The Team Davis singers are thrilled to be working with him again to create another new music video.
About Team Davis
Team Davis is a local non-profit organization that provides athletic, educational, and social activities to youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
In addition to their weekly singing classes, Team Davis they also has weekly art classes, regular nutrition classes provided by the UC Davis Nutrition Department, and dinner dances offered a couple of times a year.
They have a thriving vegetable garden on the UCD campus. They participate in 11 different sports, mostly in collaboration with Special Olympics but also with the City’s Adaptive Recreation program. They also provide regular Parent Education Forums where families learn from experts and each other about issues related to supporting their sons and daughters. They recently added in a new Juniors Program that brought in 30 new families with 6–12-year-olds. Team Davis has approximately 150 regular participants and 50 long-time volunteers.
