DAVIS ARTS CENTER. Wheel & Wine is a single evening workshop designed for fun, creativity, and exploring clay! Enjoy a relaxed and social evening learning the basics of wheel throwing. No finished pieces will be taken home—the focus is on fun and skill development. For ages 21+. 6p—8:30p. $50

PENCE GALLERY. Create a festive fall garland using twine, decorative paper, leaf rubbings, acorns, and other natural materials at this month’s family art workshop. Art in Action engages kids in art projects that are fun, creative, and collaborative with their family members. This is a drop-in program, for ages 5-12, with no registration required. 1p—3p. $5—10

Then sculpt and decorate a pumpkin bowl using clay tools, textured surfaces, and more. Art in Action engages kids in art projects that are fun, creative, and collaborative with their family members. PENCE GALLERY. Through value studies, students will learn how to simplify complex subjects, organize a composition, establish strong lighting, and create a solid foundation for a full-color painting. Participants will paint a new subject each week, along with a corresponding value study. Participants should be familiar with the basics of drawing and watercolor painting. DAVIS ARTS CENTER. In this fun, food-inspired ceramic workshop, students will create realistic-looking desserts out of clay. This multi-day workshop allows participants to sculpt their sweet treats during the first session on Oct. 7 and return to glaze them on Oct. 14. For all ages. 5:30p—7:30p. $85
