UC DAVIS QUAD. The UC Davis Powwow is one of the longest-running student-led powwows in California, providing space for the campus and local community to learn about and engage with the vibrant music, dance, and arts of Native peoples. The event will feature dance contests and specials, along with craft vendors and food vendors offering unique goods and delicious traditional foods. 11a—9p. Free
ODD FELLOWS LODGE. Join the Easter Bunny on Saturday, April 19 at the Davis Odd Fellows Lodge for breakfast, a parade, an egg hunt, & creative play & carnival! Families will enjoy a cold breakfast with the Easter Bunny at 9 a.m., including cereal, muffins, yogurt, juice & fruit. At about 10 o’clock, participants join the Bunny for a special parade through the farmers market toward the Community Church lawn to hunt for eggs! Following the hunt, families return to the lodge until noon to enjoy fun activities including cookie decorating, card decorating, face painting, guided drawings, Play-Doh, carnival games, & more! All event proceeds go to the Davis Encampment Campership Fund. The benefit fund provides pool passes, camping excursions, Explorit passes, and other experiences for underprivileged children throughout our community. 9a – 12p. $15.Â
EXPLORIT SCIENCE STORES. We are excited to host a fun, Alice in Wonderland – themed tea party on Saturday, March 29. Delight in a reading of “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll. Sip tea and savor sweet treats. Enjoy a unique photo opportunity. Each child takes home a gift bag to remind them of this unforgettable day. Price includes admission to Explorit’s Blast Off! exhibit.
