Charlene Will will give a walk-through of her work on display at the Pence, covering her favorite locations to paint, how color and light inspires her, and the noticeable effects of climate on the natural world. Walking, observing, and moving through wilderness areas are paramount to her process, and she’ll provide glimpses into how her work evolves. Working with oils on canvas, she uses traditional and self-taught brushwork, glazes, and the removal of layers to reveal the ephemeral qualities of light and color found in various natural ecosystems. 11:30a—5p.
