You’ll try out simple techniques to make things like cups, vases, bowls, and plates on the pottery wheel. This class is all about process over product—nothing will be fired or glazed. Ideal for ages 3–8 with an adult; no experience needed. 2:30p—5p. $80
DAVIS ARTS CENTER. Using hand-building techniques, students will learn three different ways to build a custom soap dish, and possibly a matching toothbrush holder. This is a two-day workshop and attendance is required for both. 1p—4p. $100

After shaping the cup, students will finish it by applying a colorful glaze of their choice, making the cup both functional and food safe.
