PENCE GALLERY. Art in Action engages kids in art projects that are fun, creative, and collaborative with their family members. Come make beautiful beaded plants out of sparkly beads, floral foam, and some wire and string, and even customize the terracotta pot it shines in! DAVIS ARTS CENTER. Using hand-building techniques, students will learn three different ways to build a custom soap dish, and possibly a matching toothbrush holder. This is a two-day workshop and attendance is required for both. 1p—4p. $100

After shaping the cup, students will finish it by applying a colorful glaze of their choice, making the cup both functional and food safe. Using simple, household “ingredients,” students will learn a variety of easy book structures that can be replicated at home.
