Senior Center has programs for all ages

The Davis Senior Center, located at 646 A Street, is offering a great array of classes and programs for all ages to enjoy – that’s right – you do not need to be a senior to participate in the Center’s classes!

  • Step, Tone and Stretch: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7 a.m. – for those that enjoy a morning workout to help get your day started.
  • Table Tennis: Mondays and Fridays at 9 a.m. – come drop-in and play a fun game that is easy to learn and free!
  • P.M. Aerobics: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. – a class for those who prefer to exercise later in the day.
  • Zumba: Every Friday at 12:30 p.m. – for anyone who loves to dance to upbeat salsa and enjoys a high-energy workout.
  • Keep Calm and Jazz On: Every third Wednesday of the month at 3 p.m. – for musicians who want to play with a group or anyone who wants to listen to the Jazz Jams!
  • NEW Family Line Dancing: Starting in this fall on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. – for families who want to learn and dance together. A variety of other line dancing options are also provided at the Senior Center throughout the week.

In addition, the Senior Center offers many other fitness classes, free drop-in sessions like ukulele jam group, fabric art, painting, movies and more. The Senior Center is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. To register for these classes and more, visit the Senior Center in person at 646 A Street, go online at www.cityofdavis.org and search “City of Davis Registration” or call 530-757-5696.

Some classes are pay-by-session while others require a Flex Pass, such as Sunrise Step Tone and Stretch; PM Aerobics; Line Dancing; and Zumba. The Flex Pass is a pre-paid punch card for certain classes offered at the Senior Center. There are four different Flex Passes: one class for $10, five classes for $45, 10 classes for $85 or 20 classes for $155 (non-resident fees apply).
