MOSAIC Children’s Museum, Yolo County’s first children’s museum, is proud to announce it has been voted Best Museum of Yolo County for 2025, as recognized by the Daily Democrat. This community-driven honor highlights the museum’s growing role as a trusted space for early childhood learning, creativity, and family connection.
Since opening in December 2023 in downtown Woodland, MOSAIC Children’s Museum has welcomed thousands of young visitors and their caregivers, offering hands-on, play-based experiences. The museum has quickly become a beloved local destination, known for its engaging exhibits and strong community ties.
“This recognition truly belongs to our community,” said Audrey Mendel, Vice President. “As a 100% volunteer-
based organization, it’s the support of this incredible community that makes our mission possible. Being voted Best Museum of Yolo County is a meaningful affirmation of our mission and the collective effort behind it.”
Beyond its exhibits, MOSAIC Children’s Museum offers birthday party hosting, members-only events, and participates in numerous community celebrations, while collaborating with local organizations to promote inclusion. All operations are made possible by a dedicated team of 30 volunteers.
As the museum celebrates this milestone, MOSAIC invites the community to save the date for Camp Day, its upcoming family-friendly fundraiser on April 25th at Nelson’s Grove in Woodland. This outdoor, camp-inspired event will feature mini derby cars, boat building, carnival games, s’mores, music, and open-ended outdoor play. Sponsorship opportunities are currently available for local businesses and organizations.
