By: Autumn Labbe-Renault

Longtime KDRT public affairs host Bill Buchanan won three awards for “Davisville” at the 48th San Francisco Press Club annual awards this week.

The club’s annual winter awards gala was held on Dec. 9. at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in downtown San Francisco. The contest was judged by a panel of independent judges, including journalists in New Orleans, Los Angeles, Cleveland and Little Rock.

This year’s competition attracted a record 910 entries from journalists throughout the Bay Area and neighboring counties. Buchanan notes that’s up from 798 last year — the contest has attracted record numbers of entries each of the past 5 years.

Other winners included the SF Chronicle, Politico, KQED, Bloomberg, Rolling Stone, Reuters, LA Time, Financial Times, Inside Climate News, KGO, KOVR and more https://sfpressclub.org/2025/12/09/2025-journalism-awards-winners/ .
