Bound in Time: Exploring Women’s Journeys through Scrapbooks and Photo Albums
UC DAVIS SHIELDS LIBRARY. This exhibit showcases the journeys of various women who traveled through or lived in California between 1901 and 1956. The exhibit recreates pieces of their journeys through the pages included in their scrapbooks and photo albums. The photographs and descriptions detail journeys full of friendship, family, and independent achievements. Free
Sahar Khoury: Weights & Measures
MANETTI SHREM MUSEUM. The Oakland-based artist is inspired by familial and global histories, food, music, and mourning. The exhibition features a reconfigured clock tower sculpture that alludes to market structures in the Eastern Mediterranean Levant region, and new works in ceramic and bronze that speak to familial and cultural ties across time. PENCE GALLERY. View a solo exhibit by Charlene Will, the recipient of the 2025 Pence Gallery Emerging Artist Award. Her work is rooted in a reverence for nature. In his exhibit, Rios shares his interest in themes that explore his Chicano heritage, as well as his family’s history and experiences.
