
PENCE GALLERY. The Pence’s 6-session Healing Arts workshop uses art as a healing language for those experiencing grief from the loss of a loved one. Through the process of art making, participants will have opportunities for discussion, education, and connecting with peers in a safe and supportive space. DAVIS ARTS CENTER. Using hand-building techniques, students will learn three different ways to build a custom soap dish, and possibly a matching toothbrush holder. This is a two-day workshop and attendance is required for both. 1p—4p. $100
DAVIS ARTS CENTER. Sculpt and decorate your own clay cup using a hand-building technique called darting. After shaping the cup, students will finish it by applying a colorful glaze of their choice, making the cup both functional and food safe. The focus is on skill-building and having fun, so students will leave with enhanced technique rather than finished pieces.
