PENCE GALLERY. The Pence’s 6-session Healing Arts workshop uses art as a healing language for those experiencing grief from the loss of a loved one. Through the process of art making, participants will have opportunities for discussion, education, and connecting with peers in a safe and supportive space. THE ARTERY. Kristina is a passionate young painter who will lead you to create a California lavender landscape. Learn to use different techniques to paint quickly and easily and work with aerial and geometric perspective. For adults or ages 12+; all materials included. 12p—2p. $35

THE ARTERY. Create your own acrylic ice-cream painting while having fun. Kristina will lead kids and their grown-ups to paint their favorite flavors. Participants will learn to mix colors and discover the color wheel. For children ages 5-8 (with one parent) or 9+; all materials included. 3p—4:30p. $25

DAVIS ARTS CENTER. Discover beginner-friendly bookbinding recipes in this hands-on workshop! Using simple, household "ingredients," students will learn a variety of easy book structures that can be replicated at home. All materials are provided. For ages 10+; participants must know how to safely use a needle and thread, and children must be accompanied by an adult. 10:30a—12p. $35
