PENCE GALLERY. The Emerging Artist Award 2026 is now open for applications via www.callforentry.org. This award of $4000 supports the creation of new work by emerging artists in California and the opportunity to share that work through an exhibit and an artist talk in January-February 2027 at the Pence. PENCE GALLERY. View a solo exhibit by Charlene Will, the recipient of the 2025 Pence Gallery Emerging Artist Award. Her work is rooted in a reverence for nature. Working with oils on canvas, she uses traditional and self-taught brushwork, glazes, and the removal of layers to reveal the ephemeral qualities of light and color found in various natural ecosystems. 11:30a—5p.
