Through value studies, students will learn how to simplify complex subjects, organize a composition, establish strong lighting, and create a solid foundation for a full-color painting. Participants will paint a new subject each week, along with a corresponding value study. Participants should be familiar with the basics of drawing and watercolor painting. PENCE GALLERY. The Pence’s 6-session Healing Arts workshop uses art as a healing language for those experiencing grief from the loss of a loved one. Through the process of art making, participants will have opportunities for discussion, education, and connecting with peers in a safe and supportive space. PENCE GALLERY. Celebrate spooky season with the perfect pumpkin art project! Start with mixing your own pumpkin spice salt dough. Then sculpt and decorate a pumpkin bowl using clay tools, textured surfaces, and more. Art in Action engages kids in art projects that are fun, creative, and collaborative with their family members. This is a drop-in program, for ages 5-12, with no registration required. 1p—3p. $5—10
