1118 L STREET, DAVIS. This free playgroup meets on the 2nd Sunday of every month. Bring a gently-loved book or two to swap, discover your mini's next favorite read, and connect with other bookworms. We'll have bubbles, simple arts, and space to play for the little ones. Each month features a different theme and free refreshments will be provided too. 10a—12p. Free

Naomi Williams, author of the novel Landfalls, long-listed for the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize and former Director of Stories on Stage Davis and actor Sara Matsui-Colby will be presenting a reading of “Dead Astronauts”. Jeri Howitt, Founder and Director of Stories on Stage Davis from 2013-2016, and returning to the Director position for Season XII and Tim Gaffaney, Director of Casting for Stories on Stage Davis will present a reading of a story called “Escape, Escape, Escape”. 4p—6p.
