WOODLAND SENIOR CENTER. Tai chi (太极) is an ancient Chinese martial art that is practiced mainly for physical and mental health. Class covers postures, movements, and the simplified 8- and 24-forms. PENCE GALLERY. Rochelle Mason uses her imagination in painting bold, colorful abstracts of beautifully designed animals by applying swirling, flowing brushstrokes and defining intriguing shapes. Mason loosely bases her Focus on Nature: Beyond Eden series on animals considered unpopular and unappreciated with the purpose of helping people transcend “speciesism.” 11:30a—5p. Free
PENCE GALLERY. Slice celebrates the diversity of expression in our region with an array of sculpture, prints, paintings, and photography created by 36 visual artists.
