PENCE GALLERY. This fun and informative workshop will introduce aspects of mammals and birds to better understand the subjects and improve artistic renderings. Students will study the general anatomy of the body, how to add facial expressions and “personality,” and then practice drawing animals in pencil. CAPAY VALLEY LAVENDER FARM. Stroll among blooming lavender rows and take part in lavender distillation demos, wreath-making workshops, and product sampling. Guests can shop handcrafted body products, culinary items, and essential oils—all made with farm-grown lavender. 10a—4p.
VILLAGE HOMES COMMUNITY CENTER. Village Dance is an ecstatic dance inspired, intentional, playful, joyful, free-form dance party. We gather once per month for a journey of music, movement, and mindfulness. We start with an opening circle, followed by music and movement, and end with a closing circle. 11a—1:30p. $15—25
