Sahar Khoury: Weights & Measures
MANETTI SHREM MUSEUM. The Oakland-based artist is inspired by familial and global histories, food, music, and mourning. The exhibition features a reconfigured clock tower sculpture that alludes to market structures in the Eastern Mediterranean Levant region, and new works in ceramic and bronze that speak to familial and cultural ties across time. Call for Artists! Pence Gallery Emerging Artist Award 2026
PENCE GALLERY. The Emerging Artist Award 2026 is now open for applications via www.callforentry.org. This award of $4000 supports the creation of new work by emerging artists in California and the opportunity to share that work through an exhibit and an artist talk in January-February 2027 at the Pence. Backstory: Digitizing the Museum Collection
MANETTI SHREM MUSEUM. This exhibition is a working digitization laboratory and open storage featuring hundreds of works from the Fine Arts Collection, developed and presented in conjunction with UC Davis students in the Fall 2025 Exhibition Practicum course led by Assistant Professor Alexandra Sofroniew. PENCE GALLERY. Barbara Prodaniuk is a ceramic artist whose work is inspired by the forest, meadows, and waterways surrounding the Truckee area. Seeing The Same Thing Differently
THE PAINT CHIP. A collaborative exhibition by husband and wife David Kalb and Nancy Gelbard, exploring how two artists respond to the same moments using lens and brush. David’s street photographs capture spontaneous, unguarded scenes from everyday life. Many of Nancy’s oil paintings are created directly from these photographs. In addition to their shared artistic experience, each artist is also exhibiting individual pieces of their work. Free

PENCE GALLERY. In this 6-week workshop, students will create watercolor paintings inspired by Misuk’s recent travels to Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, Greece, and Turkey. Participants will explore landscape, architectural, and figurative subjects. Prior experience with watercolor techniques and color blending is required.
