Bound in Time: Exploring Women’s Journeys through Scrapbooks and Photo Albums
UC DAVIS SHIELDS LIBRARY. This exhibit showcases the journeys of various women who traveled through or lived in California between 1901 and 1956. The exhibit recreates pieces of their journeys through the pages included in their scrapbooks and photo albums. The photographs and descriptions detail journeys full of friendship, family, and independent achievements. Free

THE BARN GALLERY, WOODLAND. View a collection of work created by Teaching Artists working in Yolo County. This show includes ceramic, digital illustration, installation, mixed media, painting, photography, and printed artworks. Free
Sarah Lam: Beyond Formalities
JOHN NATSOULAS GALLERY. This body of work portrays the psychological state of the individual that goes beyond traditional portraiture. Use of color, symbolism, cast shadows, semi-three dimensional elements, and embedded shadow boxes are meant to reveal the inner thoughts and character of the model. There are recurring themes in the work which include nature, the state of the planet, human connection to animals, youth, and mental health. Free
Sahar Khoury: Weights & Measures
MANETTI SHREM MUSEUM. The Oakland-based artist is inspired by familial and global histories, food, music, and mourning. The exhibition features a reconfigured clock tower sculpture that alludes to market structures in the Eastern Mediterranean Levant region, and new works in ceramic and bronze that speak to familial and cultural ties across time. PENCE GALLERY. The Emerging Artist Award 2026 is now open for applications via www.callforentry.org. This award of $4000 supports the creation of new work by emerging artists in California and the opportunity to share that work through an exhibit and an artist talk in January-February 2027 at the Pence. PENCE GALLERY. Clothing that we wear often reflects our personal identity, our culture, or both. Participating artists in Worn explore this theme, illustrating how clothing is a large part of how we see ourselves and how ordinary garments can hold memories and meaning. 11:30a—5p. Free
Charlene Will: Here for a While
PENCE GALLERY. View a solo exhibit by Charlene Will, the recipient of the 2025 Pence Gallery Emerging Artist Award. Her work is rooted in a reverence for nature. Working with oils on canvas, she uses traditional and self-taught brushwork, glazes, and the removal of layers to reveal the ephemeral qualities of light and color found in various natural ecosystems. 11:30a—5p. Backstory: Digitizing the Museum Collection
MANETTI SHREM MUSEUM. This exhibition is a working digitization laboratory and open storage featuring hundreds of works from the Fine Arts Collection, developed and presented in conjunction with UC Davis students in the Fall 2025 Exhibition Practicum course led by Assistant Professor Alexandra Sofroniew. “Happy Hour” Schorré Chevalier Oldham: Paintings including Acrylic & Paper Collages
THE ARTERY. Schorré states that her exhibit is about facing uncertainty with optimism. The limited color palette of red, yellow, and blue with black and white provided unlimited possibilities. This body of work is her way of making sense of the world around her. Free
Manuel Fernando Rios: When They Reminisce Over You
PENCE GALLERY. Manuel Fernando Rios is a painter, printmaker, and Professor of Art at Woodland Community College. In his exhibit, Rios shares his interest in themes that explore his Chicano heritage, as well as his family’s history and experiences. Blurring the line between naturalism and abstraction, the artist embraces the use of complex design patterns and photography to make a powerful statement. 11:30a—5p. Free

PENCE GALLERY. In this 6-week workshop, artist Misuk Goltz will guide students on how to create harmonious compositions, value studies of various subjects, and painterly watercolors using a limited palette.
