Whether you want a unique decoration for your home or a handmade gift, this workshop will guide you through the full process from forming to finishing. MANETTI SHREM MUSEUM. Acclaimed photographers Teju Cole and John Gossage will discuss their art in a conversation format. Cole is currently the Gore Vidal Professor of the Practice of Creative Writing at Harvard and a contributing writer to the New York Times Magazine. Gossage’s work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, and he has published over 30 books. 4:30p—6p. Free

PENCE GALLERY. This one-time art workshop focuses more broadly on themes related to depression, anxiety, or major life changes. Through the process of art making, participants will have opportunities for discussion, education, and connecting with peers in a safe and supportive space. DAVIS VETERANS MEMORIAL THEATRE. The City of Davis and the Human Relations Commission invite the public to attend this free, community-wide event. It will include an art exhibit by local high school students, a formal program featuring inspirational speakers and musical performances, and a march to the Solidarity Space in Central Park. 10a—12:15p. In this 6-week workshop, artist Misuk Goltz will guide students on how to create harmonious compositions, value studies of various subjects, and painterly watercolors using a limited palette.
