Upstander Carnival: Stand Up to Bullying

At some time, every kid becomes a bystander—someone who witnesses bullying but doesn’t help because of fear or not knowing what to do. But that child can be an Upstander instead, who will intervene with courage to speak up and make things right. On Saturday October 23, 2021 from 10-1 pm in Central Park, the Davis Phoenix is hosting the family friendly Upstander Carnival. This event employs carnival style games with the added element of learning to handle bullying situations like an Upstander. There are free prizes, a Fun Zone, Raffle prizes, and Tote bags giveaways to early arrivals.
