December 9 @ 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
Join us on December 9th from 9:30AM-12:30PM to add mulch around young trees in the Lake Solano Day-Use Area! Mulching protects our young native trees from competitive, non-native weed growth. We may also have additional time to plant new trees! This is a collaborative project between Putah Creek Council, Solano Resource Conservation District, and Solano County Parks.
Please wear sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a reusable water bottle. All necessary equipment, water, and snacks will be provided. We will also provide a parking pass for volunteers. This event is open to all community members regardless of skill or previous experience. We will teach you! All ages are welcome, however, a guardian is recommended for children under 14.
Please do not attend any PCC volunteer event if you have had a COVID-19 exposure or are experiencing any COVID or cold/flu symptoms. For any questions about this event please contact Maddie Galal (maddie@putahcreekcouncil.org).
