The Multi-String Guitar Ensemble Concert

The Multi-String Guitar Ensemble was created by musical instrument innovator and composer Matthew Grasso in 2018 to explore the vast possibilities of guitar ensembles through transcription, composition, and improvisation with the use of extended range guitars. They will present a diverse musical program that features women and Asian composers, esoteric multi-string guitars, movie themes, original compositions for guitar by living composers, and classical masterworks for both solo guitar and ensembles. The current members are Matthew Grasso, extended 7-string guitar, Sean O’Connor 11-string alto guitar, Eric Rasmussen extended 7-string guitar, and Aya Ueda voice.
