About The Auction
The Pence Gallery’s annual Art Auction event brings over 150 local and regional artists’ work together, showcasing a fantastic variety of mediums, techniques, and trends in the contemporary art world. For the first time, we are hosting the bidding event virtually so that you may browse all of the art pieces and place bids from the comfort of your home!
The Auction opens at 12:00 AM on September 1st and closes at 6:00 PM on September 26th.
There are no walk-away bids this year. Once bidding has closed, the highest bid made for each artwork will be automatically processed including an 8.25% tax. Payment method information will be required while registering to create your bidder account. All sales are final. Shipping for some items is possible. Other purchased artwork must be picked up in person beginning September 27th, within one week from the end of the Auction. Please contact us to inquire if your item can be shipped, or if you need to pick up your purchase from the gallery later than that timeframe.

Preview the Art Auction show in person at the Gallery from September 1st-26th! Following the guidelines set by Yolo County, our staff members have developed new practices, signage, and processes to protect visitors from COVID-19. Gallery visitors are required to wear face masks and social distance. As the state of the COVID-19 public health crisis changes from day to day, our gallery hours may be adjusted or removed if mandated. In this circumstance, all art pieces will still be viewable online and the virtual Art Auction will take place as normal.
