Adele’s paintings are inspired by the botanical world. She uses many materials–watercolors, inks, encaustic paint, pens, pencils–to fuse layers of color and techniques. Her art vibrates with undulating forms and earthly elements of fire, air, and water. Flowers—poppies, sunflowers, iris—compliment the abstract forms. Adele describes the process as “a poetic dance with materials which, over its own, ephemeral time, is remembered by this imprint of paint.”
