Join Supervisor Mary Vixie Sandy and the Yolo County Library Foundation in Changing Lives Through Literacy. The evening includes a multicultural feast of food and live music!

Mary’s Supper for Stories is more than a fundraising event—it’s a celebration of the power of literacy and community. The evening will bring together individuals and organizations who share a commitment to promoting education and equity through books and library programming.

The Yolo County Library Foundation is proud to announce its fundraising event, “Mary’s Supper for Stories,” hosted by Supervisor Mary Vixie Sandy, a longtime advocate for equity and education in our community.

This special event will raise vital funds to support Yolo County Library’s ESL classes and bookmobile programs. These resources provide critical access to knowledge, joy, and community—especially for Yolo County’s most remote and under-resourced residents.

Supervisor Mary Vixie Sandy, with over 30 years of experience as a policy leader in higher education and government, has dedicated her career to improving the lives of those in her community. Her passion for equity in education aligns with the Yolo County Library Foundation’s mission to provide financial support to all eight branches of the Yolo County Library system, allowing every resident to benefit from the library’s resources, regardless of their ability to visit a physical branch.
