Martin Luther King’s Fight Against Poverty

Historian Rick Moniz will provide a retrospective of Martin Luther King’s work to alleviate poverty in the rural south and urban ghettos, and his legacy fighting for the poor. Following Rick Moniz’ talk, will be a discussion of the present housing crisis particularly as it applies to the unhoused in our community. Our hope is that we will be able to agree upon a plan to address the needs of the unhoused that is workable for the Davis community.
