Innovation in Art Competition
April 11 @ 9:00 am - May 10 @ 4:00 pm
FreeCalling all creatives! Participate in our art competition! We’ve renovated our office and are looking for art that reflects our values and challenges us to think broadly about the work we do at the Mike and Renee Child Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The competition’s theme is “What does innovation look like to you?”
We believe that UC Davis students have a responsibility to change the world, and that we have a responsibility—and the tools, knowledge and expertise—to help advance that mission.
We help researchers find a path to commercialization—and help students develop the entrepreneurial mindset needed to solve our world’s challenging social and economic problems.
We believe entrepreneurship is not only about starting a company, making money—or a calling for a select few. Innovation and entrepreneurship are for everyone.
Innovation and entrepreneurship mean:
- looking past the status quo.
- a mindset and skillset that can be learned.
- taking the initiative to put knowledge into practice.
- learning the power of the network.
- using creativity to solve important problems.
- making a positive and lasting change.
