The Griever’s Circle
May 30 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
FreeWhether you have just lost your person and are walking in the fog of sorrow, unsteady
in your path, or you’ve been traveling this road for a while and deep feelings of grief
are returning in a new and confounding way, you are welcome! This weekly drop-in
group is a place to speak freely of your experience with grief, to be held in a supportive
community of elder and young widow(er)s, mothers, fathers, bereaved daughters, sons,
and friends.
Facilitated by Grief Specialist and Certified Death Doula, Debra Chapman, our group is
intended to be a place to land, to receive comfort, validation, and support, and a place
to express your grief in community. We at the Center for Loss & Hope believe that when
we come together with our losses, our work of befriending grief generates a ripple effect
in the community as we return to honor the natural cycles of life, death, and rebirth.
Grief is the gift of having loved. And often, a painful initiation into becoming a whole
new person, learning how to thrive, not just survive, in the wake of loss.
**This group alternates from in person to zoom. 1st & 3rd wednesdays in person at Yolo Cares; 2nd & 4th on zoom.
