FreeErica Norelius: Natural Places & Urban Spaces
Exhibit: March 1 – April 28, 2024
Reception: March 8, 6 – 9 PM
Erica Norelius’ new series of work offers an in-depth dive into the natural spaces of the Golden State, reaching from the coastal cities and desert areas, north towards Oregon. The quiet presence of man is often seen in small intrusions such as power lines and roads. As she writes, “This interplay between man and nature calls attention to how man is also an element of change, slowly working upon and changing the natural world.” Equally compelling are her captivating cityscapes, which capture the busy highways and urban street life of Oakland and San Francisco.
The Pence is open 11:30 AM – 5 PM, Tuesday – Sunday (closed Mondays).
