Davis Food Co-op 36th Annual Holiday Meal

The Davis Food Co-op proudly announces that it will celebrate the 36th anniversary of our Annual Holiday Meal on Friday, December 24th. Uncertainty continues surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, we have decided to duplicate last year’s event and make this a takeout-only meal. One thing that will not change, however, is the strength and ability of our community to pull together to provide a warm meal on Christmas Eve for all to enjoy.

This free and festive dinner for the entire community is a remarkable Davis tradition and has become an important part of the holiday celebrations of local people from all walks of life. Although this year’s meal will look different, we are still anticipating feeding anywhere from 400 to 700 people.

We invite you to join us for this meal and ask that you help with a donation or by volunteering if you are able to so that we can continue this wonderful Davis tradition.

We are also accepting monetary donations. These donations will help us to serve hundreds of people a warm meal this Christmas Eve. As a donor, your name will be listed in our event advertising and on displays at the meal itself. To make a donation, please click the ‘Tickets’ button on our Eventbrite page here and choose the amount that you would like to donate. The Co-op welcomes, needs, and appreciates contributions at all levels.

Lastly, starting on December 10, we will be accepting clothing donations in store to hand out at the event.

This event succeeds only because a broad spectrum of people support it. We look forward to providing a meal that reaches even more people. We’re thrilled to work with the generous members of the Davis community in keeping this wonderful tradition alive!
