Art & Recipe Contest

To celebrate Farm to School Month, Davis Farm to School and the Davis Joint Unified School District are hosting an Art & Recipe contest!
Recipes should be no more than 7 ingredients (no nuts), feature at least one Harvest of the Month item, and be replicable by Student Nutrition Services staff. Original artwork should also feature a Harvest of the Month item.
We will compile all entries into an online cookbook. The grand prize recipe winner will have their recipe featured as a school meal!
The grand prize art winner will have their artwork featured on a school menu calendar! For art, there will be 3 separate contests: K-6 grade, 7-9 grade, and 10-12 grade. The top entry in each range will receive $50 in gift cards, including gift cards generously donated by the Davis Farmers Market and Avid Reader.
In addition to having a panel of judges, all students will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite meal/art. These votes will be considered in selecting the winner.
The deadline to enter is October 29. The contest is open to all DJUSD students. Entries can be e-mailed to info@davisfarmtoschool.org (please include name and grade of student). Art can also be dropped off at the school office.
