We’re excited to invite you to celebrate a special milestone with us—Davis Community Action Network’s 3rd Birthday! Over the past three years, DCAN has grown into a vibrant, community-driven network. To celebrate, we’re hosting a birthday gathering and fundraiser. This event is a celebration of the community network. We’re inviting partner organizations to share and connect with attendees and share more about what they do. This is a chance to celebrate together, build new connections, and showcase the incredible ecosystem of organizations working to make Davis a better place.

DCAN NEWS: Welcoming New Leaders to DCAN!
At the event, we will also celebrate two pieces of exciting news for DCAN. First, Jonathan London is our new board chair, taking over from Robb Davis who skillfully led the board for our first three years. Thank you Robb for everything you gave to DCAN as chair. We are grateful you are staying with us as a regular board member and appreciate all you do for our community!
Second, we are excited to announce that Victor Lagunes is now the new interim executive director! I am stepping down from my role before I start my campaign for Davis City Council later this spring. This is important to maintain DCAN’s identity as a non-partisan, non-profit organization. By making this change, we will keep my campaign separate from the good work happening at DCAN and soon I will get to join the ranks of the DCAN volunteers!
Victor brings his experience as a labor organizer for Davis Teachers Association and his deep dedication to housing, climate, and community issues to this role. He joined DCAN as a founding board member and directly shaped our mission, vision, and program since the very beginning. I can’t imagine a better fit for the job and can’t wait to see what DCAN will accomplish under his leadership!
