Adrian West Band, Live @ The Melon Ball
Adrian West Band returns to Davis with a new sound! A regular performer at Sudwerk Brewing in Davis, they’ll play a mix of original acoustic rock plus some covers plus a few jazz tunes. The band will include two vocalists, acoustic guitar, electric violin, alto sax, upright bass, drums & live looping. This event will be BYOB.
Adrian describes the band’s original material as “Paul Simon meets Talking Heads.” He takes delight in setting thoughtful lyrics to joyful music. His subject matter might veer a tad dark at times but the underlying music is uplifting, giving the listener a richly layered experience. Whether he’s telling a story about a skinny-dipping episode gone awry or grappling with some major challenge facing humanity, his lyrics are infused with equal parts hope, realism and whimsy.
