Adrian West Band

Adrian West Band returns to Davis with a new sound in a new place! They’ll perform as a SIX-PIECE band at The Melon Ball, a listening room in West Davis that features a Steinway Grand Piano and a top notch sound system.
The Melon Ball is attached to Watermelon Music at 1970 Lake Blvd, Suite 1 in West Davis. A ticket link will be posted here soon, and tickets can be purchased at the door as well.
Adrian West Band describes their sound as “Paul Simon meets Talking Heads.” They play original acoustic rock songs and instrumentals, plus a few covers and a few jazz standards. They normally play as a five-piece, but for this show they will team up with talented jazz pianist & composer Michael Echaniz on the Melon Ball’s Steinway grand, adding jazz sizzle to everything.
Adrian takes delight in setting thoughtful lyrics to joyful music. His subject matter might veer a tad dark at times but the underlying music is uplifting, giving the listener a richly layered experience. Whether he’s telling a story about a skinny-dipping episode gone awry or grappling with some major challenge facing humanity, his lyrics are infused with equal parts hope, realism and whimsy.
